Jason J. Sawyer

Attorney Jason Sawyer is an exceptionally trained Vermont DUI defense lawyer with more than 200 hours of DUI defense instruction from attending numerous DUI defense seminars nationwide. He is a former president of the Vermont Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and has been hired by other lawyers as an expert witness in DUI defense in post-conviction relief matters.

Chris Dall
Attorney and Counselor at Law
Attorney Dall has provided criminal defense, with a focus on motor vehicle and drug offenses, for nearly 25 years. A Vermont native, Attorney Dall has practiced in nearly every court in the State of Vermont. He is licensed in the State of Vermont (2000), State of New Hampshire (2004) and the United States District Court for Vermont (2012). Attorney Dall has handled numerous appeals in the Vermont and New Hampshire Supreme Courts, and obtained several important victories that protect individual rights and freedom.
Attorney Dall also represents individuals in administrative hearings before the Vermont and New Hampshire DMV, Vermont Agency of Transportation and Vermont DCF. He has a proven track record assisting clients seal and/or expunge their criminal history records, and has successfully obtained gubernatorial pardons. Attorney Dall also provides representation in FBI/NICS appeals for clients who have been denied firearms by ATF as the result of their criminal history, substance abuse or mental health.

Anabel Grob
Paralegal and Office Manager
Anabel began working with the law office of Jason J. Sawyer as an Investigator in 2019. She officially joined the law firm in 2021 as a Paralegal and now also holds the title of Office Manager. Anabel graduated from the University of Vermont in 2019 with a B.A. in Sociology, a Concentration in Crime and Criminal Justice and a Minor in Psychological Science. Anabel brings with her two years of Private Investigation experience, years of experience in customer service, and a passion for social justice. In addition to her office management and paralegal work, Anabel provides Case Management, treatment referrals for clients struggling with substance use, interviews of witnesses, family and friend supports, and general support for the firm’s clients. Anabel enjoys hiking around Vermont and supporting local artists and musicians.
Jayme Martin
Legal Assistant
Jayme joined the Sawyer Legal team in January 2023 as an intern through the University of Vermont sociology department. After graduating from UVM in June 2023, she remained with the team and became Legal Assistant. Her educational background in sociology and criminal justice has provided a foundation for criminal defense, and she is passionate about helping provide the best defense possible for our clients.
